Bruins Beat Habs, Lose 3 Straight

So it's been a tough stretch for the Bruins here. It started out with a 8-6 win over the rival Canadiens and has gone downhill from there. Since that win the Bruin's lost 2 straight to the Detroit Redwings in 1-6, 2-4 fashion. The losses were tough for the Bruins and neither Tuukka Rask or Tim Thomas played particularly well in net.

Tonight the B's lost to the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs, further increasing the sense of urgency surrounding the team as of late. Tim Thomas played ok but was beaten 4 times in a 3-4 loss to the Leafs. The goals stung a lot as the former Bruin Phil Kessel scored 2 goals in the beating of his old team.

Other notes:
Bruins traded for Chris Kelly of the Ottawa Senators for their own 2nd round pick in this years draft. Kelly is a center and will hopefully bring some new skill to the table for the Bruins. Kelly has 12 goals and 11 assists on the year. While this isn't a huge acquisition it might be able give the Bruins offense the extra spark it needs to start winning games.
